Create your account and set up your profile

Download T[root]H Discipleship from the App Store or Google Play. When you open the app for the first time:

  • Sign up with your email address or use Google/Apple sign-in
  • Select "Apprentice" as your role
  • Complete the onboarding by entering your name

Your Dashboard

Navigate the main screen and quick actions

Your dashboard is the home base for your spiritual growth journey. Here's what you'll find:

  • Quick Actions: Start a new assessment, discover your spiritual gifts, view progress, or access resources
  • Draft Assessments: Resume any assessments you've started but haven't completed
  • Top Navigation: Access your profile, mentor info, and invitations

Taking an Assessment

Complete spiritual health assessments

Assessments help you understand where you are in your spiritual journey and identify areas for growth.

  • Tap "New Assessment" from your dashboard
  • Select an available assessment template
  • Answer each question honestly—there are no wrong answers
  • Your progress is auto-saved, so you can pause and continue later
  • When finished, tap "Submit" to complete the assessment

Tip: Take your time with each question. The more honest your answers, the more accurate your results will be.

Understanding Your Results

Review your assessment scores and recommendations

After completing an assessment, you'll receive detailed results:

  • Overall Score: Your spiritual health score on a scale
  • Category Breakdown: See how you scored in different areas (prayer, Scripture, service, etc.)
  • Priority Action: One clear next step to focus on
  • Scripture Support: Relevant Bible verses for your growth areas

Discovering Your Spiritual Gifts

Take the spiritual gifts assessment

The Spiritual Gifts assessment helps you discover how God has uniquely equipped you to serve.

  • Tap "Spiritual Gifts" from your dashboard
  • Complete the assessment questions
  • View your top gifts ranked by score
  • Read descriptions of each gift and how to use it

Connecting with a Mentor

Accept invitations and build your mentorship

Mentors can invite you to connect through the app. Here's how to accept:

  • Check the mail icon in your dashboard for pending invitations
  • Review the mentor's information
  • Tap "Accept" to connect
  • You may need to sign a mentorship agreement

Download T[root]H Discipleship and create your mentor account:

Navigate the mentor interface

Your mentor dashboard gives you a complete view of your apprentices and their progress:

  • Apprentices Tab: View all your connected apprentices
  • Assessments Tab: Review submitted assessments
  • Agreements Tab: Manage mentorship agreements
  • Resources Tab: Access mentor resources and guides
  • Quick Stats: See active apprentices, completed assessments, and average scores

Inviting Apprentices

Connect with people you want to mentor

To invite someone to become your apprentice:

  • Tap the person+ icon in your dashboard
  • Enter the apprentice's name and email address
  • Tap "Send Invitation"
  • The apprentice will receive an email with instructions to accept

Tip: Follow up with a personal message letting them know to check their email for the invitation.

Creating Mentorship Agreements

Establish clear expectations with your apprentices

Mentorship agreements help set expectations for the relationship:

  • Go to the Agreements tab
  • Tap "Send Agreement" for an apprentice
  • The agreement outlines commitments for both parties
  • You sign first, then the apprentice receives it to sign
  • If the apprentice is under 18, a parent signature is also required

Reviewing Apprentice Assessments

View and understand your apprentices' results

When an apprentice completes an assessment, you can review their results:

  • Go to the Assessments tab or tap on an apprentice
  • Select a completed assessment to view
  • Review their overall score and category breakdown
  • See their individual answers to each question
  • Read the AI-generated recommendations
  • Add your own mentor notes for future reference

Your home screen is designed for one purpose: getting help fast. Here's what you'll see:

  • A large HELP button front and center—tap it when you need accountability support
  • Navigation tabs at the bottom for Partners, Alerts, and Resources
  • Your profile and settings in the top corner

Adding Accountability Partners

Build your support network

Before you can send a help alert, you need to add at least one accountability partner:

  • Go to the Partners tab and tap "Add Partner"
  • Choose from your contacts or enter their details manually
  • Enter their name, email address, and phone number
  • Tap "Add Partner" to save

Tip: Add multiple partners to ensure someone is always available when you need help. Your partner will receive an opt-in SMS when added.

Sending a Help Alert

Reach out when you need support

When you're struggling and need immediate accountability support:

  • Go to your home screen
  • Tap the large HELP button
  • Confirm that you want to send the alert
  • All your accountability partners will be instantly notified via push notification, email, and SMS

Tip: Don't hesitate to press the button. That's what it's there for. Your partners signed up to support you.

Partner Responses

Know when help is on the way

After you send a help alert, you'll be able to see who responds:

  • Partners can tap "I Got It" in the app, reply to the email, or respond via SMS
  • You'll receive a notification when a partner responds
  • The alert details screen shows the response status of each partner

The Resources section provides faith-based content to support your accountability journey:

  • Tap the Resources tab at the bottom of the screen
  • Browse articles and guides on topics like temptation, recovery, and spiritual growth
  • Read biblical guidance and scripture-based encouragement
  • Content is updated regularly with new material
